As a soloist he has performed with significant orchestras such as the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the Baden Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, the Thessaloniki and Athens State Symphony Orchestras, the Underground Youth Orchestra etc. under acclaimed conductors such as Maestro Christoph Eschenbach, Maestro Justus Franz, Gerardo Estrada Martinez, David Greilsammer and Eleni Papakyriakou. Fil Liotis gives numerous recitals, chamber music and Lied concerts across Europe and Asia, his performances being regularly broadcasted on international radio and television such as Medici.tv, DRadioKultur, SWR, TVR and ERT3 to name a few.

Fil Liotis is a prizewinner among others of the 39th International Grand Prix Maria Callas and the 61st International Competition Maria Canals Barcelona (having won also the prize for the “best Interpretation of a Work by Albéniz”) and is recipient of an „ECHO Klassik“ Award as well as the „Albéniz Medal“. He has recorded for the labels MDG and DUX and his latest released CD-recording “The Young Beethoven” (MDG) was nominated for an “OPUS Klassik” Award in 4 different categories.

Fil Liotis studied in Greece at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki (Nikolaos Tasopoulos), later in Germany at the College of Music in Detmold (Prof. Alfredo Perl) and lastly in Karlsruhe (Prof. Dr. h. c. Kalle Randalu) acquiring two “Master of Music” degrees as well as the “Solistenexamen” degree with a perfect score and Distinction. Parallel to his internationally rising concert activity he is currently also teaching his own piano class at the College of Music in Detmold.
